About This Retreat
Night sweats, instant rage, forgetting the names of people you've known for years … if this sounds familiar, the Illuminate retreat was created with you in mind. At The Resting Wolf, we believe perimenopause and menopause are our body's way of forcing a recalibration. Pushing us to slow down and assess if we are adequately prioritizing our own health and happiness as we move into the next stage of life. Perhaps that crippling fatigue is a reminder that you are taking on more than you should, and that irritability is a reflection that pleasing others isn't as important to you as it was before. Illuminate is designed specifically for women navigating the often perplexing physical, mental and emotional shifts that surface for us all as we age. Through evidence-based education, sustainable physical movement and candid conversation, you will walk away from Illuminate with a broader view of midlife as an opportunity to live the truest and best version of yourself, rather than a list of symptoms to fear.
What to Expect
- In January, a virtual community will be seated to connect retreat-goers with facilitators and each other, and to start to lay the ground work for the discussions that will take place at the event. Expect Q&A and virtual ice breakers, perimenopause education, polls, and more.
- Day 1: Check in at 3pm, opening circle - set intentions for the retreat. Evolving Identities at Midlife. Delicious farm-to-table dinner, followed by our nightly campfire. Gentle wind down yoga.
- Day 2: Tai chi/Qi Gong session, followed by a big brunch at the lodge. Midlife Health: Cutting Through the Clutter. Hormone and sexual health. Bone Density and Joint Health. Pelvic Health. Fitness and nutrition over 40. Longevity routines: face yoga and tension release, posture awareness, fascia, lymph drainage.
- Day 3: Closing circle. Personalized plan and commitment cards.
- Following the event: Virtual community will have the option to continue and will be added to the broader Founders Circle community, which will offer both virtual and Nashville-based events in the future.
- What you take with you: Personalized plan for nutrition and fitness. Medical guidance from a interdisciplinary panel of clinical experts. Exposure to a range of wellness practices. A newfound community of women in the same stage of life.

Please note that we will not assign roommates for shared accommodations. Attendees interested in this option are required to include a roommate assignment on their registration, and their roommate will need to do the same when they register. If your roommate doesn't register we will reach out with private room options.
Add-Ons
